34 organic operators will receive grants at the amount of about UAH 6 mln to implement their projects in the frame of Phase 2 of the Grant Program \u201cSupport of organic sector in Ukraine\u201d initiated by the Organic Initiative<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Phase 2 of the Grant Program is focused on strengthening the capacity of the organic sector, supporting organic operators, organic producers and processors with a focus on sales and marketing on the domestic market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, support is provided to the organic producers whose products are already available on the supermarket shelves to improve product quality, expand the organic product range, improve sales and communication with consumers, establish own points of sale, and improve the product design and packaging. Support is also provided to organic greenhouse farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe expect that as a result of the grant support more certified organic products will appear on the supermarket shelves \u2013 this is our main goal. We also hope that some new organic products will appear. We will closely follow the implementation of the selected projects and provide comprehensive support to our grantees\u201d, said Olena Deineko<\/strong>, the Organic Initiative Coordinator.   <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The average period of implementation of all the projects is 4-5 months, but there are some projects which require more time for implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, 80 applications from 16 regions of Ukraine, collected from August 20 to September 20, 2022, were considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    All the details of support will be individually discussed with every grantee, of what they will be properly informed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Grant Program was initiated by the Organic Initiative,<\/strong> which includes key players of the organic sector of Ukraine. The Organic Initiative joined forces and resources of like-minded people and started its activities in April 2020, it aims to promote the development of the organic market and increase trade with Ukrainian organic products on the domestic and foreign markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Grant Program<\/strong> is administered by the International Charitable Organization \u201cInformation Centre \u201cGreen Dossier\u201d and Lviv City Public Organization \u201cEcoterra\u201d in accordance with the decision of the Organic Initiative and the statutory tasks of the organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The monetary fund of the Grant Program<\/strong> is formed from charitable donations and contributions of individuals and legal entities (residents and non-residents of Ukraine), targeted contributions of international projects \/ technical assistance programs and other revenues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
