\ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\udde6\ud83c\uddf3\ud83c\uddf1 Organic Initiative Public Association<\/strong>, with the support of SIPPO Ukraine<\/strong>, conducted a trade mission to the Netherlands aimed at strengthening the export of Ukrainian organic products to the Netherlands and the wider European market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the programme, meetings were held with around 10 importers in the Netherlands and Belgium<\/strong>, as well as with organisations involved in procurement, certification, legal aspects, and logistics of organic imports.
Among them were: Port of Rotterdam<\/a>, Organic Development Finance (ODF)<\/a>, Origin & Amsterdam<\/a>, Daarnhouwer & Co. B.V.<\/a>, Agracom<\/a>, Korpershoek BV<\/a>, BioCore<\/a>, Bakker Seeds<\/a>, HERBA INGREDIENTS BELGIUM B<\/a>, NATURE BIO FOODS<\/a>, GreenFoods50<\/a>, QAssurance<\/a>, Skal Biocontrole<\/a>. The Ukrainian delegation included the Organic Initiative team<\/strong>, as well as the companies UkrBioLand<\/strong> and ProOrganica<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd0e Key takeaways from the mission for Ukrainian organic exporters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\ufe0f\u20e3 Face-to-face meetings are highly effective<\/strong>
Trade missions create the foundation for long-term business relationships. Participating companies received concrete enquiries and product specifications immediately after the meetings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2\ufe0f\u20e3 EU requirements for quality, food safety, and organic control are stringent<\/strong>
EU legislation undergoes around 400 updates annually<\/strong> related to food safety and quality requirements. Control over organic products continues to tighten, with no exemptions or special treatment<\/strong>, including for Ukraine despite the challenges of wartime conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3\ufe0f\u20e3 Competition is increasing<\/strong>
To maintain Ukraine\u2019s position among the top five exporters of organic products to the EU<\/strong>, companies must consistently deliver high quality and reliable supply performance<\/strong>. The market rewards only proven results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4\ufe0f\u20e3 Organic Development Fund as an important financial instrument<\/strong>
The Fund offers pre-financing to sellers through buyers<\/strong>, which can significantly support Ukrainian exporters. We recommend exporters explore this mechanism in greater detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5\ufe0f\u20e3 Growing EU demand for protein crops<\/strong>
Particular interest is being shown in various types of legumes<\/strong>, making this a promising direction for Ukrainian producers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6\ufe0f\u20e3 Ukraine has strong competitive advantages<\/strong>
The European origin of raw materials and geographical proximity to the EU<\/strong> are strong arguments in favour of Ukrainian suppliers. While logistics remain a challenge during the war, these advantages will become even more pronounced once the situation stabilises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7\ufe0f\u20e3 Trust in Ukraine is growing<\/strong>
Many companies we met are already working with Ukrainian organic suppliers and plan to expand their cooperation further<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
