Organic Initiative<\/strong> is the only active business association dedicated to Ukraine’s organic sector, playing a systemic role in its development. The association serves as a platform for cooperation among producers, processors, exporters, retailers, and institutional partners, fostering market development and coordination while supporting the integration of Ukrainian organic producers into international supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout 2025, more than 200 market operators<\/strong> engaged with the association’s initiatives through its programmes, projects, and communication activities. Organic Initiative focused on strengthening the organic sector as an integrated ecosystem, enhancing the capacities of organic producers, and promoting the integration of Ukrainian organic products into global supply chains. These strategic priorities shaped the association’s key activities and initiatives implemented during 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domestic Market Development<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening domestic demand for organic products was one of the association’s key priorities during the reporting period. In spring 2025, Organic Initiative implemented the large-scale promotional campaign ORGANIC FEST<\/strong>, aimed at expanding the presence of organic producers in the Auchan<\/strong> and Silpo<\/strong> retail chains. The initiative covered more than 300 stores<\/strong>, facilitating cooperation between producers and retailers while supporting promotional activities and raising consumer awareness of organic labeling. As a result of the extensive communication campaign, total outreach exceeded 21 million consumer contacts<\/strong>, while sales in participating stores increased by 50%<\/strong> compared to the previous period.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A further step in strengthening the market infrastructure was the organization of the Organic Food Pavilion<\/strong> <\/a>at the international B2B exhibition WorldFood Ukraine<\/strong>. Through this initiative, 25 organic companies<\/strong> were able to showcase their products, establish direct connections with retailers and business partners, and increase brand visibility. The project became a practical instrument for fostering B2B cooperation and strengthening business linkages within Ukraine’s organic sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E-commerce Development<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During the reporting period, the association’s team also implemented an initiative to support the development of e-commerce for organic producers. The newly established digital platform brought together 42 product offers from five organic brands<\/strong>, providing producers with access to online sales channels, promotional support, and analytical insights. The project enabled participating companies to receive their first online orders and strengthened their capacity to further develop independent digital sales channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grant Support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening the capacities of organic producers remained an important component of the association’s systemic work. In partnership with the Information Center “Green Dossier”<\/strong> under the WEOS programme<\/strong>, Organic Initiative implemented a grant scheme with a total budget of approximately CHF 160,000<\/strong>. Financial support was provided to 33 projects<\/strong> aimed at expanding production, developing value-added organic products, and strengthening production and supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community Building and Networking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Building a strong professional community remained one of the association’s strategic priorities. For the fourth consecutive year, on 23 September<\/strong>, Organic Initiative organized the Organic Day in Ukraine Conference<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, the event brought together more than 230 participants<\/strong> in both online and offline formats, serving as a key platform for dialogue among government institutions, international partners, producers, processors, retailers, and certification bodies. The conference once again confirmed its role as the largest networking platform for Ukraine’s organic sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Promoting Organic Food Consumption<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, Organic Initiative implemented a number of communication projects aimed at increasing consumer awareness and strengthening trust in organic certification and labeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among them was the “Top 20 Organic Brands of Ukraine”<\/a><\/strong> ranking, an initiative that combined public recognition with a broad communication campaign. The project reached more than 1 million people<\/strong>, significantly increasing the visibility of both participating brands and Ukraine’s organic sector as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the association carried out a communication campaign dedicated to promoting organic labeling. As part of the initiative, six thematic publications<\/strong> were released in The Village Ukraine<\/strong> and NV Food<\/strong>. The campaign reached more than 85,200 users<\/strong>, contributing to greater consumer awareness and reinforcing trust in Ukraine’s national organic label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The promotion of organic products was further strengthened through participation in the Kraina Mriy Festival<\/strong> and the Kyiv Tea Festival<\/strong>, where consumers had the opportunity to discover and engage directly with products from Ukrainian organic producers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supporting Access to International Markets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening the export potential of Ukrainian organic producers was one of the association’s strategic priorities in 2025. In December, Organic Initiative organized and coordinated a B2B trade mission to the Netherlands<\/strong>, with a particular focus on Rotterdam<\/strong>, one of Europe’s leading logistics and trading hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the mission, participants held more than 10 B2B meetings<\/strong> with European importers, traders, and distributors. The programme provided an opportunity to discuss key aspects of entering the EU market, including market requirements, logistics, certification, and potential cooperation models. The initiative became another practical step in the association’s long-term efforts to integrate Ukraine’s organic sector into international supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key institutional achievement of the year was the establishment of the Export Services Department<\/strong>, reinforcing Organic Initiative’s role as a driver of Ukraine’s organic exports. The department is responsible for implementing export support projects, conducting market research, organizing B2B activities and business missions, cooperating with international programmes, and providing analytical and consulting services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creation of this dedicated unit has already laid the foundation for a new generation of export-oriented initiatives planned for 2026, further strengthening the position of Ukrainian organic producers in international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
