Organic Initiative Public Association has managed to attract 11 partners from 9 countries, and over 130 grants have been awarded to micro-, small and medium-sized organic companies as part of the Organic Initiative’s Grant programme “Support to the Organic Sector of Ukraine”  during 2022-2023.

The total amount of support is over USD 440,000.

These 22 stories are only a small part of the positive changes on the Ukrainian organic market, which has suffered and is still experiencing difficulties caused by the full-scale war. These 22 cases show how financial grant support can contribute to changes at a company if a strategic approach to business development is taken.

The results include:  

• Restorting the assets and production lost during the occupation,
• preserving and creating new jobs,
• entering new markets or new sales channels, diversifying the sales strategy, 
• expanding the product range by creating new products; 
• expanding the number of suppliers,  
• promoting the brand through investments in marketing,
• obtaining new types of certification to enter new markets;
• reducing production costs,  
• improving the quality and productivity of the production, etc;
