Within the framework of the USAID AGRO Programme’s activities on capacity development of national associations in the agricultural sector, technical support will be provided to the Organic Initiative Public Association in the form of expert support for creating a development strategy.
The purpose of the cooperation is to strengthen the capacity of the union through the development of a strategy for the development of the Organic Initiative NGO as a 2nd level organisation in the short- and medium-term perspective, for 2023-2025.
The main tasks of the expert are:
– Developing a business model for the organisation to ensure its effective functioning,
– Development of the Association’s development plan in terms of membership and the need to attract new members,
– Search for the best examples of projects and programmes for the development of the sector, both Ukrainian and international
– Developing a strategy for the development of the Organic Initiative Public Union as a second-tier organisation by 2027.
About Lidia Pashchuk:
Lidia Pashchuk – Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the of the International Economics Department of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Lidia has supported entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ukraine for many years. Since 2012, as an international organizations’ consultant, she has started working on development of business associations’ capacity.
In particular, in 2012-2013, as part of a contract with the World Bank, Lidia conducted research and prepared a marketing manual for business associations. Since 2015, Lidia has been cooperating with the UNDP Project ” Strengthening MSME Business Membership Organizations”. Over the years of cooperation, Lidia provided consultancy on the marketing of business associations, the development of the membership base, services of business associations, and the formation of the direction of group purchases.
During the cooperation with the project of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, PLEDDG, Lidia participated in the development of strategies for the development of competitiveness of SMEs in different regions of Ukraine.
Lidia has been working in business education for more than 10 years. She is an Associate Professor at Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, a certified tutor of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), Associate Professor in the International Institute of Business. In 2022, she became a Visiting Professor at the University of Macerata (Italy). In 2016, she founded the School of Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship, which covered 15 regions of Ukraine and provided training and advisory support to more than 1,000 entrepreneurs from various industries and regions. Lidia is an expert of the Ukrainian Startup Fund. In 2020, she published the book “Ukrainian Dream. I Am an Entrepreneur”, which was included in the list of the 10 best books on business development in Ukraine in the same year.
In 2021, Lidia successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems in Ukraine.
In 2022, Lidia became a USAID consultant (International Technical Assistance Project “Economic Support of Eastern Ukraine”). Under the terms of the contract, Lidia provided advisory support for strategy formation, business models, marketing, finding sales markets, and personnel development to 15 enterprises. Based on the results of the work, Lidia prepared guidelines on relocation for enterprises and host parties (communities)
