Organic Initiative has officially become a member of IFOAM Organics Europe — the largest European umbrella organization working in the field of organic agriculture and production.
IFOAM Organics Europe unites over 200 members from 34 countries — including farmers, processors, certifiers, researchers, traders, retailers, consultants, as well as environmental and consumer organizations. It acts as the voice of the entire organic sector in dialogue with the institutions of the European Union.
Membership in IFOAM Organics Europe opens up new opportunities for our Union, including:
- representing the interests of Ukrainian organic producers and members of the Initiative at the EU level;
- participating in shaping EU policies related to organic production;
- contributing to deeper integration of Ukraine into the European and global organic movement.
From now on, Organic Initiative, together with other Ukrainian members of IFOAM Organics Europe — Organic Standard and the Green Dossier Information Center — will work on strengthening Ukraine’s position in the international organic sector.
