Organic Initiative Public Association invites you to join the conference “Organic Day in Ukraine” which will be held on 23 September 2025. This event is part of the annual EU initiative and is held in Ukraine as an important component of the European integration strategy for the fourth consecutive year. The event is supported by Switzerland and the German Government.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Domestic Market as a Foundation for the Sustainable Development of the Organic Sector in Ukraine’. Its aim is to promote implementation of modern international organic production practices, strengthen interaction among key stakeholders, and consolidate the sector for sustainable development. The event is an example of consistent implementation of the European Green Deal in the organic sector and demonstrates Ukraine’s ambition to integrate into the European common area.

This year, the main focus will be on development of the domestic organic market as a foundation for long-term growth. The participants will receive an overview of its current state and prospects, learn about the experience of cooperation with retailers, and available support tools. An important part of the programme will be presentation of the best European practices: organic school meals in Germany and France, as well as the specifics of public procurement of organic products in the EU and possibilities for its implementation in Ukraine.

A separate session will be dedicated to the challenges and opportunities for the organic sector in times of war. It will focus on market adaptation to new realities, involvement of veterans in the organic business, and prospects for the sector’s recovery and strengthening in the post-war period.

The final highlight of the conference will be the award ceremony for the winners of the rating “TOP 20 Organic Brands of Ukraine”. This event is a unique opportunity to hear the latest market analytics, share experiences, and join forces to further develop the country’s organic sector.

The event will take place in Kyiv on 23 September (the exact address will be sent to all the registered participants additionally), as well as online on ZOOM platform with simultaneous translation. The event starts at 10:00 and finishes at 16:00 (Kyiv time).

The conference is free with obligatory registration. Registration deadline: 22 September (until 18:00).

The conference “Organic Day in Ukraine” in 2025 will be organised by Organic Initiative Public Association under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sectors in Ukraine” (QFTP) implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland) and with support of Germany in the frame of the German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Ukraine project (COA), which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity of Germany (BMLEH).
