Between May 7 and 27, 2025, the Organic Initiative, in cooperation with Auchan Ukraine and with the support of Switzerland, launched a special campaign called “Organic Shopping.”
The initiative aimed to raise consumer awareness about certified organic products and create favorable conditions for first-time purchases.
As part of the campaign, over 200 certified products were offered at discounts of 10% to 20% across 16 Auchan stores in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, and Zhytomyr. This approach helped lower the traditional price barrier that often prevents consumers from trying certified products for the first time.

As a result, sales of certified organic products in participating stores increased by 50% compared to the previous period.
To support the campaign, a large-scale communication effort was implemented, reaching over 21.3 million contacts. The promotional activities included:
- Outdoor advertising — 28 billboards across five major Ukrainian cities
- Google contextual advertising
- Targeted social media advertising through Auchan’s channels
- A video featuring Oleh Skrypka, a well-known cultural figure and ambassador of conscious consumption, who clearly explained how to recognize certified products and why they are worth paying attention to
This initiative became another step toward building consumer trust in certified products on the domestic market and contributed to expanding informed consumer choice among Ukrainians.

The Organic Shopping promotional campaign was organised by Auchan Ukraine Hypermarket LLC, together with the Organic Initiative Public Association, with the support of Switzerland, within the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP), implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
